Backing Beyond

Blue Beyond’s membership is epically diverse in terms of class, race, sexual orientation, and gender. Beyonders come from all corners of the United Kingdom and come from a range of backgrounds – not just parliamentary staffers. Beyond Backers reflect this.

Our Beyond Backers

  • Dehenna Davison is the former Minister for Levelling Up in the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, and the MP for Bishop Auckland.

The first Conservative to represent the Bishop Auckland constituency, Davison became a linchpin for the 'Red Wall' contingent of the Conservative Parliamentary Party post-2019. From the backbenches, Davison campaigned to reform sentencing for single-punch killings in memory of her father, who died from a one-punch assault when she was young.

In June 2021, she became co-host of the Sunday morning show The Political Correction on GB News. Davison is also the first openly bisexual female Conservative MP after coming out in October 2021. Having used her social media channels to call out online abuse and give insights into her life outside politics, the Bishop Auckland MP is passionate about making politics more accessible for young people."
